Once again, Paul is on trial. He’s been under house arrest for two years and the Jewish leadership jump on the first opportunity to continue their persecution. But Paul does not show bitterness. He speaks boldly of the truth, and maintains his innocence, taking every opportunity to speak of the Way. The result is the unfolding of God’s plan, which will involve testifying in Rome. Jesus predicted this would happen – he has a plan -, and Paul trusts in him.
