ReCAST church is using a new social media website (kind of like Facebook) called The Table Project. It is built specifically for churches and acts as an online directory, prayer bulletin, volunteer coordinator, calendar and message board in one. It’s a really convenient way for the whole community to be informed about needs, prayer requests and other happennings and is customizable to suit your personal needs (like blogs and a scripture memorization module). If nothing else, it’s a place to let other people in the church know how to get a hold of you. So we encourage you to sign up and become a part of ReCAST’s online community!

The Table Project does a great job of teaching you how to use it. Inside you’ll find buttons that say “Show Me” that will instruct you in how to use various features and of course there’s a Help link in the main menu. However, signing up can be a little tricky. There’s no way to link to the ReCAST sign in from The Table Project home page, so you have to go to a special web address and enter a code to register for the first time.

How to sign up for The Table Project

1. Open a web browser (Safari, Firefox, Internet Explorer, etc.) and make sure you are connected to the internet.
2. Go to the ReCAST Table Project login page by typing recast.tableproject.org in the address bar.
3. Press “Return”, “Enter” or click your browser’s go button.
4. On the ReCAST welcome page, click the link “New here? Sign up!” just below the green “Log In” button (assuming you don’t yet have an account).
5. The next page has an intro video about The Table Project, which is optional. If you want to skip it, click the green “Join” button.
6. On the Step 1 page, enter the email you would like use for the account and the Secret Code for ReCAST church, which is “recastmattawan”.
7. Click the green “Continue” button.
8. On the Step 2 page, enter your personal information. Prompts next to each item tell you which are optional and clicking the blue circles gives you additional information.
9. Enter your password in both password fields and be sure to write it down in a safe place.
10. Agree to the Table Project terms (after reading the Terms very thoroughly, of course).
11. Click the green “Continue” button.
12. On the Step 3 confirmation page, click the green “Get Started!” button. You’re in!
