This Sunday will be Kyle’s last week as the associate pastor of ReCAST Church. He came to ReCAST at a time in our history when we were pushing the 150 mark and I was swamped. Kyle brought with him a lot of heart, a lot of passion, love for people, and a genuine quest for truth. I am convinced that God brought Him to ReCAST at the right time for the right season, to help us, to sharpen us, and to serve the Lord with joy.
I personally have been sharpened by his love for the hurting and broken in society. Kyle is a servant of all. He is eager to meet needs, and is quick to offer assistance to anyone. He has a great sense of humor which unfortunately can be hard to maintain in ministry. He has often brought laughter to our elders meetings over the years.
Kyle and I have spent many hours in discussion of theology, Scripture, and practical ministry. We have sharpened each other as iron sharpens iron.
I know that God has used this period of ministry in Kyle’s life to help define his calling in pastoral ministry. And God has blessed ReCAST Church through Kyle’s ministry that has touched the very heart of this church.
Kyle resigned from ReCAST in November with the desire to see what God has for him in the next leg of his ministry. The end of seasons like this, are difficult. But the blessing comes in the firm and genuine belief that God has great things in store for Kyle and his family. Equally, I am convinced that God has great things in store for ReCAST Church.
Thank you Kyle for your service to Christ at ReCAST Church! Thank you for the sharpening.
