ReCAST is sending a team of ten people to Uganda over Spring Break in 2017. We will be there for two weeks and the majority of our work will be leading two conferences for pastor’s, two children’s bible schools, and other various training.
I am super excited that God has brought together a cross generational team with three fathers that are going with their teenagers. I think there is something beneficial about working together with people who are not at the same stage of life as us.
As I’ve been spending more time preparing for this trip to Uganda, I started the process of planning for the pastor’s conference. I am looking forward to putting some of my experience as a pastor into practical help for others who are working to bring the message of God’s Word to their own culture.
But the more that I think about this trip and this conference, the more I have the sneaking suspicion that I will learn a great deal from pastors in Uganda. I do not go to Uganda with all the answers, but instead I go with the goal of looking together with those pastors in attendance into the Word of God that calls us all, convicts us all, and encourages us all.
Our team is currently raising funds and seeking those who would pray for our trip to be a genuine benefit to those we will minister to in Uganda. Please pray for our team as we continue to move closer and closer to the reality of this trip. (If you want to keep up with the team, there’s a Facebook page you are welcome to join – “ReCAST in Uganda 2017”.)
