The Family Enrichment Center and work with the Van Buren DHHS to help recruit and support foster families. Personally, I believe that the role that churches play in caring for the children and families of our community is critical. As a person of faith myself, my husband and I felt the call to foster care over ten years ago and have adopted a sibling set of three. While at times fostering can be extremely challenging, we cannot begin to say how thankful we were for the church family that supported and cared for the over 100 children that came into our care over the years. 

Now, more than ever we are seeing a rising need for foster homes as quarantine has cut off so many of our hurting and abused children from the watchful eye of those that would be able to keep them safe. As we reopen, we strongly anticipate that the need will grow rapidly as children feel safe to tell and others observe and report.
