I have felt very appreciated by ReCAST Church over the years. And I know it doesn’t always go this way. Occasionally I read about or speak with a pastor who has been run outta Dodge, or faces routine criticism, or just never receives any encouragement.
But I am so grateful for the many encouragements that people have sent my way over the years. I have received texts letting me know something from the sermon that was helpful. I have received emails, and even this week some timely snail-mail cards at just the right time to encourage me. And it is always great when someone lets me know that they have been praying for me.
Last week for pastors appreciation month, someone gave my WIFE flowers. What an encouragement to my heart that someone thought of my wife! I am so very grateful for a congregation that has routinely demonstrated thankfulness for my ministry.
I know that it doesn’t need to be this way. And that makes me all the more grateful.
